About
Most growing advice is written by people who are very good at growing, for people who are already fairly good at growing. It is thorough and it is correct and it is completely overwhelming when you are standing in front of one plant in a closet wondering if you should water it today.
This site is the other thing. One path, start to finish, with the call already made at every fork. Real numbers instead of advice to observe your plants closely. And a symptom checker for the part where the leaves start doing something alarming at eleven at night.
The name
Mids is mediocre weed. Your first grow will probably produce some, and that is not a failure, it is the normal outcome of doing a reasonably difficult thing for the first time. Everyone who grows good weed now grew bad weed first. The sites that imply otherwise are selling something.
The useful goal for grow one is not a trophy harvest. It is getting a living plant all the way to a jar so that grow two starts from experience instead of from reading.
What we do not do
We do not sell seeds, plants, clones or equipment, and we do not ship anything. This is an educational site. Where we point at a specific piece of gear we say what it costs and why that one, and some of those links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them. That never changes the recommendation. If a cheap thing is the right thing, we say so.
Legality
Growing cannabis at home is legal in some places, tightly limited in others and a serious crime in the rest. Plant counts, licensing and whether you can grow at all vary by state, county and country, and they change. Check your own local law before you plant anything. Nothing here is legal advice.
Keeping records
The single biggest difference between grow one and grow three is not gear, it is notes. Knowing what you fed, when you watered and what the tent was doing the week something went wrong is what turns a bad harvest into information. A notebook works. GrowTrackr is the app we make for it, which you should know is ours before you click.
